The Kannapolis Centennial Celebration

The year-long Kannapolis Centennial celebration ended 11-12-06 with the closing of the time capsule. It will be opened in 2106.

Included in the capsule are copies of Hank Utley's 2 books and the enclosed paragraph:

"It will be the 170th anniversary of the Outlaw Carolina League in 2106. I wonder what the people will think when they read this unique history of The Great Depression" textile towns."
