The following are two different railroads advertising special Easter Monday rates on 3-26-1910. This continued for many years.
Easter Monday, March 28, 1910, at Raleigh, Fuquay, FayettevilleAccount of above occasion The Raleigh and Southport Railway will sell tickets from all stations on its line to either Raleigh, Fuquay, or Fayetteville for one for round trip - minimum 25¢. Tickets on sale on that date only good returning not later than afternoon train on 29th. At Raleigh-Wake Forest-A. and M. baseball game in the afternoon. Theatres at night.
At Fuquay - Grand annual basket picnic, dancing, fishing, barbecue, baseball - a delightful place to spend the day.
At Fayetteville - Fishing, boating.The historical town of the State.
A great opportunity for a day's recreation at a nominal cost.

Raleigh to Fuquay................ .65¢
Raleigh to Fayetteville...... $1.90
Fayetteville to Fuquay...... $1.30
Fayetteville to Raleigh...... $1.90

Account the above special occasions the Seaboard announces special low rates from Norlina, Henderson, Oxford, Louisburg, and all intermediate stations, good only on (shoofly) trains Nov. 29 and 30. Easter Monday, March 28. Shoofly returning this date will leave Raleigh at 6 p.m.
